Overview
The Bundesliga is the top baseball league in Germany. It is operated by the German Baseball and Softball Federation (DBV) and consists of 16 teams. The league was founded in 1965 and is the oldest baseball league in Europe.

Format
The Bundesliga season is played from April to September. Each team plays a total of 34 games, with 17 games played at home and 17 games played away.
The top six teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are a single-elimination tournament, with the winner of the championship game being crowned the Bundesliga champion.
History
The Bundesliga was founded in 1965 and is the oldest baseball league in Europe. The league has been dominated by a few teams, with the Mannheim Tornados winning the most championships (12).
In recent years, the Bundesliga has become increasingly competitive, with several teams challenging for the championship. The Berlin Flamingos have won the last two championships, while the Paderborn Untouchables and the Heidenheim Heideköpfe have also been recent contenders.
