Portugal vs France QF to be officiated by Michael Oliver
England's Michael Oliver has been announced as the referee for the Euro 2024 quarterfinal match between Portugal and France
Oliver, a Premier League referee, has officiated in three games so far at the Euros, including the last-16 match between Spain and Italy
The quarterfinal match between Portugal and France will be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Friday, July 5. The winner of the match will face either Belgium or Italy in the semifinals. Oliver, 35, is a FIFA-listed referee and has been officiating in the Premier League since 2010. He has also refereed matches in the Champions League and Europa League. Oliver was the referee for the 2019 UEFA Super Cup match between Liverpool and Chelsea. He also refereed the 2018 FA Cup Final between Manchester United and Chelsea. Oliver's appointment as referee for the Portugal vs France match is a sign of his standing as one of the top referees in Europe.
