Synopsis

FX's "Shōgun" is an upcoming American historical drama television series created by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks. It is based on the 1975 novel of the same name by James Clavell, which was previously adapted into a 1980 miniseries.

Set in Japan in the year 1600, "Shōgun" follows Lord Yoshii Toranaga, a feudal lord who is fighting for his own survival amidst a century-defining civil war.
